9th Annual ‘Dare to Pair’ food and wine challenge
Cabrillo Community College’s culinary students are teaming up with the Surf City Vintners group of Santa Cruz wineries for the ninth annual ‘Dare to Pair’ food and wine challenge. Teams of culinary students will prepare delicious appetizers paired with wine from the Surf City wineries in a competition that raises funds for the culinary program at the college. Participants walk from winery to winery on Swift and Ingalls Street to sample the food and wine pairings and vote on their favorites as the ‘People’s Choice’ Awards. All proceeds benefit the Cabrillo Community College Culinary Arts program. Tickets are $75 in advance (the event sells out) and are available online at
