The Back Nine Grill & Bar offers comfortable, contemporary and causal fine dining. It is located onsite at the Inn at Pasatiempo just off Highway 17 in Santa Cruz. It is open daily for both lunch and dinner and offers a variety of fresh grill favorites, periodic specials, and a kids menu. It offers a nice selection of local California wines and a spirited list of specialty cocktails. Back Nine Grill & Bar also offers a choice of nightly specials, such as Taco Tuesday, “Wine” Down Wednesday, and Burger &Beer Thursday. In addition, during Happy Hour from 3-6pm Monday through Friday, a selection of appetizer and drink specials are available to enjoy.
Back Nine Grill & Bar has recently promoted Ben Kralj to General Manager. Ben has been with the restaurant as its Executive Chef since it first opened in 2015, and is now managing both the front- and back-of-the-house with this promotion. Ben holds a degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management from Cabrillo College. His culinary experience includes working as a chef at Shadowbrook, owning his own catering company, Seascape Catering, and working under local chefs such as Jamie Smith of Foodsmith and Joe Schultz of India Joze.
