Taste of the Mountains – Menlo Park

The Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association and Greenheart Land Company present the first Taste of the Mountains Wine Walk on Saturday, December 5 in Downtown Menlo Park. All ticket proceeds from the event will benefit the Menlo Park Atherton Education Foundation. Enjoy wines from small, local boutique wineries poured in various designated tasting locations up and down Santa Cruz Avenue. Check in for your wristband, glass, and a map of the pouring locations – then enjoy an afternoon of tasting and discovering. Stay downtown for a dinner or movie to follow!

Traditionally considered the “Capital of Venture Capital”, the City of Menlo Park is also home to industry-leading tech companies like Facebook and SRI. Downtown Menlo Park is known for its quaint shops, great restaurants and high-end home decor. The City is the perfect backdrop for this elegant event. The December 5th Wine Walk is the perfect complement to a weekend of holiday cheer, which includes a Friday night tree-lighting and Saturday morning breakfast with Santa. It is sure to be a merry weekend for the entire family.

Passport Days Coming Up!

PassportDays2Passport Days to the Santa Cruz Mountains was introduced in 1993, by the Winegrowers of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Four times a year the winegrowing community of the Santa Cruz Mountains comes together to celebrate the generations of farmers, vintners and families that are the roots of the Santa Cruz Mountains wine region. Over the last 20 years the event has become a beloved tradition among wine lovers who enjoy wines produced by our legendary, artisan winemakers all within the idyllic Santa Cruz Mountains.
The third Saturday of January, April, July and November, passport guests are welcomed into 30+ wineries throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains, each offering a unique pairing of artisan handcrafted wines, gourmet food and entertainment. Take a vineyard tour for a grape-to-glass look at Santa Cruz Mountains wine. Meet the winemakers, grapegrowers and sample exclusive vintages from wineries generally not open to the public. Delight in discovering each winery’s unique Passport “theme,” a tradition of the event. The possibilities are as varied as the wineries themselves and promise a fun, unforgettable weekend. Enjoy!
