C & N TractorsC & N Tractors
C&N Tractors was founded in september of 1974 when Jim Cox purchased the existing Cox Brothers(no relation)Massey-Ferguson dealership in Watsonville Ca. Immediately C&N Tractors became a Kubota tractor dealership, along with Massey-Ferguson. Soon a new facility was built to serve the ever-increasing equipment demands of the central coast. Along with the expansion, new lines of equipment were added to better serve the needs of the area.
Over the ensuing years C&N Tractors dropped Massey-Ferguson line.
In 1995, John Cooper, Nigel Mallinson, Julie Oliver and Mike Sternbach purchased C&N Tractors. In 1999, C&N Tractors became a Kubota only dealer. In 2000, C&N Tractors expanded to include a Full Service Facility in Paso Robles Ca, managed by Jeff Sponhaltz.
C&N Tractors today is one of the largest Kubota dealerships in the nation. We are the Brouwer sod harvester dealer for the states of California and Arizona. We are one of the largest Gearmore dealers in the state, stocking an excellent selection of their top-flite implements and accessories. We carry STIHL power products and a complete array of tools in our parts department. We have a fabrication shop for modifications necessary to row crop style tractors used in our central coast area.
Since 1974, through the vision and philosophy of Jim Cox, C&N Tractors has more than quadrupled in size and scope.
Founded on the principle of “Legendary Service” and living up to our mission statement of “Give Us Your Tough Job”
we exist today with one sole purpose …. To better serve the tractor and equipment needs of the central coast area.

Chaine d’Or VineyardsChaine d’Or VineyardsContact: Jerry Anderson
Chaine d’Or is a small winery in Woodside, and we are celebrating our 30th anniversary this year.
In 1985 Anne stood on the steps of the Redwood City courthouse and made a bid for a small property that was being sold in foreclosure and which bordered our home. That was the start of Chaine d’Or Vineyards. As soon as we acquired the land we began the process of clearing it of the overgrown poison oak and weeds. After the clearing we hired a bulldozer and deep ripped the hillside, followed by planting a cover crop of PurpleVetch to improve the soil. The next year we turned under the vetch and planted the grapes, primarily Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon together with smaller quantities of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot to be blended into the red wine. We installed the irrigation system, and put up the trellis, and went through a few trials calming a neighbor who didn’t like the look of a “naked” vineyard.
After a couple of years we realized that we really were going to be able to grow grapes, and quite a few of them. That thought then was the realization that we would need a little winery, and so we built one by expanding our home and tucking it underneath the living room.
Much in the tradition of the small European vigneron, we grow grapes and make wine primarily for local people and the occasional visitor who happens to find us. And, in the same tradition, word of our quality product has spread via the – ahem – grapevine. We’ve been winning awards and gaining in popularity. And for most of our time we’ve been doing all of our own work. Anne has been the winemaker and Jerry has been driving the tractor.
But in 2007 Paul and Stefania Romero joined the Chaine d’Or family and took over all of the management and operations of the effort. They continued until 2015 when Nicolas Vonderheyden took over as Manager and Vigneron.

Chocolate VisionsChocolate Visions
About our Chocolates
All of our chocolates are either hand dipped or hand molded by us to order in our shop in Scotts Valley.
We use fresh all-natural ingredients in our chocolates with two exceptions:
Any design color other than gold, white, silver, gray or black is made from FD&C synthetic food color (we would like to use all natural food colors, but so far we haven’t found any more that work).
The only Gianduja that we can get at a reasonable price from Callebaut contains vanillin. We are trying to find an alternate source.
We design and produce all of our own transfer sheets and most of our sheets are made with natural food color. Since we produce all of our own designs, we can fill smaller custom orders with faster turn-around times.
Most of our bulk chocolate comes from E. Guittard or Callebaut . We think that these have the best qualities for blending with different flavors. We are constantly trying other chocolates to see if they will work.
All of our chocolates should be stored in a cool dry place with a temperature range of between 50 – 70*F. (do not refrigerate) and have a shelf life of about one month. The chocolates containing alcohol (wine and liqueur) will have a 2 to 3 month shelf life.
