Enjoy a summertime vintners festival in the Santa Cruz Mountains with The Summit Wineries at their 3rd Annual Solstice on the Summit Festival the weekend of June 21-22, 12:00-5:00.
Enjoy a festive weekend with art shows, gifts for sale by local artisans, live music, tours, food, and wine (of course!). All five wineries and The Summit Store are in the Summit Road area between Soquel/Santa Cruz and Los Gatos: Burrell School, MJA Vineyards, Silver Mountain, Villa del Monte, and Wrights Station (a new winery opening the weekend of this event).
Tickets are $25, include an event wineglass, and are good for both days at all participating locations. Tickets are available from any participating winery in advance or the day of the event.
For more information see the group website at www.thesummitwineries.com.
Each winery will offer a different festival experience celebrating summer, so visit them all:

At Burrell School: Live music, open garden featuring Anne’s heritage roses and special discounts on featured wines. Bill the Oyster Man will be shucking fresh oysters for a nominal fee (both Saturday and Sunday).
At MJA: Live Hawaiian slack key music, wine pairings, Hula dancers.
At Villa del Monte: Enjoy forest views, wine tasting, cheese pairing.
At Wrights Station: Visit this new winery and enjoy the patio and mountain views; live music; appetizers.
At The Summit Store: A full grocery with a wide selection of picnic fare to take to the wineries; and the largest selection of Santa Cruz Mountains wines in the mountains. The Summit Store will host Muns Vineyard and its Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noirs and Syrah from its nearby vineyard as part of the festival on Sunday, June 22.
The Summit Wineries, five wineries along Summit Road in the Santa Cruz Mountains, offer spectacular views across the mountains to Monterey Bay. Only 20 minutes from Los Gatos or Santa Cruz you can visit all these
wineries in a single afternoon. Mountain vineyards, forest scenery, excellent mountain wines and beautiful gardens all come together to offer a true ‘top of the world’ wine tasting experience. For more information, see the group website at www.thesummitwineries.com
