The Evening of Wine and Roses from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013, is considered by many to be one ofthe premier annual wine tasting events in Santa Cruz County. This health care fundraiser for the Pajaro Valley Community Health Trust in Watsonville provides wine lovers with access to 25 vintners representing the Santa Cruz Mountains Appellation, all under one roof, at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds in Watsonville.
This unique wine growing region features top notch wines including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zinfandel varietals among others. Bottled specially for this event, most vintners also provide a double magnum of premium wine for sale in our silent auction among other unique gifts and collectibles.
Included with your admission ($60 per person in advance; $70 at the door) is a commemorative wine-tasting glass and hors d’oeuvres tray. Guests sample a wide selection of gourmet hors d’oeuvres provided by the best area restaurants and caterers. Beautiful, locally-grown roses are offered for sale and the professional live and silent auctions provide an additional dimension of fun and entertainment.
This year, guests at the Evening of Wine and Roses will be encouraged to get into the spirit of the evening (which falls the day after Halloween) with the option of donning their favorite Halloween costume. Attendees will also want to scan the guests to spot celebrity impersonators who will add a little extra glitz and glamour to our 30th anniversary event!
The Health Trust is proud to call the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association our loyal partner and co-sponsor of this popular fall fundraiser for 30 years. In addition, we are grateful to the many area businesses and individuals who have provided gifts and generous sponsorship support year after year.
Event proceeds benefit the Pajaro Valley Community Health Trust, a 501 (c) 3 health care foundation supporting health care grants and programs serving the Pajaro Valley’s low-income and underserved populations.
Tickets and information available from: www.pvhealthtrust.org or call (831) 761-5639. No one under 21 will be admitted.
